the chop, and tomorrow....
the chop at the Bellagio... chopping is something i never ever like to do, and this was the 2nd time i have ever chopped.
we had 5 players left, the biggest stack had 151k, i had 149k, 3rd guy had like 135k, next dude had 100k, short guy had like 60k (i think).
under normal circumstances i never chop here, but blinds were 2000/4000, and the 2 big stacks were pretty good players and one was very loose aggressive. and the 2 shorter guys were playing to tight, so we were gonna have big pots with shorties waiting us out. i struggle with big stack verses real aggressive players. also, i used to not need the money, and now i do. i used to not need poker money to pay my bills and lately if it wasn't for poker, my mortgage would not be paid.
i still kind of regret chopping, because i think i could had won... but then i remind myself i needed the money and i just won like 3 coin flips, and i could easily lose the next 1 or 2 with the short stacks.
---
as for tomorrow, i am almost positive i will be playing the $1500 WSOP event.
not sure if i will see him tomorrow, but thanks CC
for the updates and pictures, very awesome man.

wsop didnt work out so well. but good news.
i busted pretty quick at day 2, probably in about 20 minutes or so. i raised 1st in on the button, mueller was in the big blind and was threatening me while i was counting my chips "you already took to long". i still raised to about 11k with blinds 1500/3000 -500, with A9. small blind instantly reraised me for most of my stack (mueller folded and laughed "told you, you were taking to long"), he had over 100k, i had just over 40k. i felt i was priced in and put all my chips in the pot.
small blind had 33, flop came 838, GG me. was a big pot, and i win this flip, i am sitting nice... oh well.
afterwords, i grabbed some nachos from the poker kitchen, and waited for a few friends to come on over. me and ZaiGezunt sat in a 2/5nl game, which we both killed. we ran very hot, i took an extra $1400 off of table and he took about $1800 in about 2 or 3 hours.
we then decided to go play the bellagio $1k nightly. it was me, Zai, and Mag: they both donked out early. i got bad beat with about 13 players left to lose a big chunk of my stack JJ to A8 all in pre. then same guy open shoved a few hands later and i had AQ, so i shoved, dude behind me also shoved. open shover had KK and over shove/caller, had AQ as well. KK held, and i was crippled.
i stole blinds a few times, then i made the final table, and got UTG just as i paid the big blind last hand. so after i pay the extra blinds, i have maybe 4 big blinds at final table. 10 left and 9 pay. i played perfect SNG strategy, picked up blinds a few times real fast. and again the next round. then i won a coin flip with 5 big blinds... and won another, started catching some cards, next thing i knew i was in 2nd place with 146k and 5 players left. they offered a 5 way chop, which i accepted for almost $22k.
so all in all a fun and a nicely profitable day.
