well... mixed results today

over all today i made $439, but i got slaughtered in the 100's and killed the 200's. which the 200's caused me all my pain last week. cause i did good in the 500's last week and still lost a fortune.

lets go over some hands.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

in this hand i kinda wanted to call, but couldnt make myself do it... actually not call but go all in... but if i went all in he has to call. so it is basically the same thing as him pushing and me calling. i entered that into sngPT and it told me if he is pushing any 2 (which he was) i need 77+,AJo+,ATs+,KQs (8%)to call, so it was a good fold.

===

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

now here, i was thinking i had to push with any 2, and hoped he folded but i know he would have a huge calling range.... i entered this into sngPT giving him a calling range of :22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs - im not sure this is loose enough, i do have over 4 BBs so, he is not calling any 2. any thoughts on his calling range here?

if this is a good range, my push was still wrong... results were:Push hands: 22+,A2+,K2+,Q2+,J2+,T3o+,T2s+,93o+,92s+,84o+,82s+,74o+,72s+,63o+,62s+,53o+,52s+,43o,42s+,32s (91%)

and if we loosen him up a little i have to tighten up.

====
i still made a few mistakes today.. but ill do better tomarrow...

and i hate KK

well... not much else to post..... besides if i dont have a good week, im quitting sngs. hehe

week end totals

sngs +$4071
MTTs -$1795
------------------
total +$2276

i played several mtts today, and did not cash in any, bubbled 2, but that doesnt really matter. i am trying to qualify for the pca, played a $650, and a $175 tourneys to try to get in today... lost them both.

i did play another $500 sng today.... so far i have played 3 and cashed 3.... madsen's railbirds are complete assholes.... plus last time i was heads up with him , bad beat me 2 times straight and once he was dominated to take the win... so beating him felt good. some guys even bet on us.... i had him out chipped 2-1 and some dude gave another guy 2-1 odds if i won.... and he took it. i am not sure on the total they came to, but at least i had one guy cheering for me... heh. but i did lose most of my chips 2 times, before coming back to win it.

i will play stars million and the ftp 250k tomarrow... maybe stars 2nd chance.. not sure.

===

interesting hand from the $109 PS deep stacks tourney, which i almost cash... gay.

$3212

well the title of the post is dedicated to today... but i will get into that in a minute...

lets do an update of the beginning of the week..... i struggled bad both monday and tuesday, but i played so many i finally made both days barely positive.. made 280 mon & 395 tues, played about 30 sngs each day. bubbled a ton on monday.

today i played 16 sngs, cashed 11 for a profit of $3212.... i also bought some W$ so i can get a discount trying to qualify for stars' pca.. some live tourney by some water.....pca info...

in one sng i played today with phil gordon i lost most of my chips very early.. i had a Q high flush vs an A high flush, i was left with 40 chips, all 9 ppl still in.
blinds were 40/80, and i came back to get 3rd.

i played my 2nd $500 sng today, got 3rd.. i think my bank roll is big enough to play them more often now...

btw.. this is part of the reason these are so profitable....
donkey wins a big hand

well... off to rail a friend deep in the 55k... gl

sunday results and a few hands of interest.

interesting day with a lot of potential that didnt pan out... i cashed the stars million, got close in the stars 2nd chance, and bubbled ftp's 500K. the stars million was using a new structure where we start with alot more chips, but i am pretty sure the structure was sped up a lot. i play 9 sngs today, only cashed 1... got 1st, but i lost about $1400 today between the MTTs and the SNGs.

ok some hands. from the stars million

jhgjtdghfdcikutujtdfuj

4 straight negative days for a loss of about $4k. im running so bad, it seems like someone is playing a joke on me. im taking $5k off of FTP and playing somewhere else. i will probably take tomarrow off. play a few MTTs the next few days, play a few sngs at stars. see if i can get anything going. i will not play the sat for the wpt while i am running this bad. everytime i play cash i get fucked too... last few times i flop the nuts and the other dude fills up.

nevermind about taking tomarrow off, it is usually my best day to play... if i lose tomarrow i will take the weekend off, then play MTTs next week and sngs at stars for a few days and screw the FTP leaderboard. and come back to FTP towards the end of next week or something.

i hate poker....

today was one of those days... if i had an over pair to the flop usually QQ+, someone had a baby set... guess ppl like calling raises in a short stack game with 22-66. if all in preflop, my AA and KK were losing to 99 and TT all day. if i was a desparate short stack and was forced to make a move, one of the blinds were for sure were going to have AA or KK. stressful day, and one of my worst days ever... between the majors and and sngs, i am down about $1560...

last few days

well... a few days ago i had a break even day, the next day i made a little over 200, then yesterday i made about $1500. for the week i made $2900 which includes losing about 600 in cash games and winning a little in MTTs.

yesterday i played my 1st ever $500 sng, and got 2nd... playing those are over my bankroll, but i could not resist, many bad players were in already. look at the sharkscope of them:

i was planning to play a wpt prelim event today, it was a $2k buyin, but i decided last night that i didnt really feel like it... now i wish i went.. no way i can shower and get to the bellagio in 30min though. i am so damn lazy. i will probably still play the super sat next saturday.

soooo... because i decided not to play the wpt thing today, i decided to get up a lil early and play the big deal at pokerroom... but my dumbass got up 10 min late... i thought it started at 11:30, but it started at 11:00.... and i was watching TV in bed for an hour too.... oops.... maybe next time.

im gonna play the million at stars today, and the 200k at FTP... not sure what else.

work and poker...

i have been working my ass off lately... so i havent been able to play much.. so i may not make it as high on the FTP sng leaderboard as i thought i would. i have been really busting my ass.... but that means i will make a lot of money....which is prob a good thing.... depending on what happens with online poker and the law... because i have been making plenty playing poker where i really dont have to work....

today was the limit event for the cardplayer league... the play was a joke... i had several monster hands, and i guess everyone thought since they cant lose their whole stack in one hand that they would play any 2 cards, and call bets and raises with under pairs, and call bets and raises with any possible runner runner draw.... anyways all my big hands got suckout on, and i was prob like the 5 or 6th out.. not sure.. i didnt look, because these shitty players were pissing me off. one faggot was playing any 2 cards no matter what and catching every hand... or a lot of hands anyways. i bet his luck didnt last...

sngs... i played 13 and cashed 8, for a profit of $1,180.

didnt play anything else.

im tired and i have to get up super early tomarrow. gn

the LP on the internet gaming bill.

For Immediate Release Oct 4, 2006

Congress Chooses to Legislate Morality with Internet Gambling Ban

Tens of Millions of Americans Dealt a Losing Hand

(Washington, D.C.) Over the past weekend, a bill was passed by Congress that essentially bans Internet gambling within the United States.

Tennessee Senator and supposed presidential hopeful, Bill Frist, snuck the legislation into a port security bill which passed with only two dissenting votes. The new regulations, which will go into effect when George W. Bush signs the bill, will ban wire transfers to online gaming companies.

Supporters of the legislation accuse online gaming companies of being involved in money laundering operations and, according to the Washington Post, even fronts for terrorist groups.

"This goes beyond the absurd," exclaimed Shane Cory, executive director of the Libertarian National Committee. "Using the supposed War on Terror in defense of this legislation designed to legislate morality is sickening. Using this same reasoning, Congress should close Vegas as 9/11 Hijacker Mohamed Atta made a least two trips to the 'Sin City' before setting out to murder thousands of Americans."

In addition to citing money laundering and terrorism as excuses for the new Internet restrictions championed by Republican politicians, proponents also state that online gambling targets children and gambling addicts.

"Once again, we see politicians in Washington attempting to protect us from what they see as wrong in this world. I have news for them: Americans are smart people who can take care of themselves AND their children," continued Cory. "In restricting Internet activities, I think it would make much more sense to ban instant messaging within Congressional offices rather than ban the online hobbies of millions of tax-paying citizens."

The Libertarian Party is working to stop poor legislation such as the ban on Internet gambling by electing principled and reasoned Libertarian leaders to public office at the local, state and federal levels of government.

im kinda drunk

yeah... today was the monthly libertarian meeting... i showed up early so i could go over the business stuff with them as well... if i show up as early the next few months i get to vote on shit... not that i really need to... but i want to help... so i can so i did my part to fight for our freedom... not just for online poker, but for about everything... i have been pretty upset over the real ID act for sometime too. they are haveing another rally tomaorrw afternoon on one of the busiest street corners in town... not sure if i can make it or not... i will try.... but i do have the cardplayer tourney to worry about as well as i have a busy day at work.... so who knows what ill do.

because the mothly meeting is in a bar, i was drinking the whole time.. and i think i had to much.... but i came home and fit in 6 sngs.. and made $900 so not to bad.

oh yeah... a hot chick that none of us have met before showed up, and she said she was just busted for solicitation (she said she was an escort)... i wouldnt mind trying her out... i mean she was smokin!!!!... mmmmmm!!!!.... i may not see her again, because she lives in san francisco and was just here for a little while... i guess one of her good friends from back home is a libertarian and told her to come to the meeting while in town... not sure why.... but... i wanna be her friend.. hehe

im going to bed... goood night.

you know whats's awesome?????

Monday, October 02, 2006

today sucked, and im still pissed.

i lost $614 playing 2/4nl cash game... assholes kept getting sets, and never folding their draws... assholes.

at sngs i lost $838 today.... so a horrible day

whats really sucks is things are looking worse and worse for online poker. i did spam a few forums with libertarian stuff... and i ran into a few others doing it too... so others also veiw them as the answer. i really hope voters show up to the polls pissed... americans need to make a stand sooner or later,,, rather than just saying oh well... like usual. people on P5s are acting like they want to have a march on DC... but no one seems to be organizing anything yet... if something gets organized, i will for sure make it down... as well as contact the national LP to see if they could help in any way, or campaign there.

i just got mod status at the local LP forum, but no one goes there, i need to try and get the forum active.... prob wont be easy, but might be fun... maybe i will try to drag people from the local news paper forum, or something.... dont know still thinking about this one.

hmmmmmm........ oh yeah.... i qualified on FTP for some 30k free roll, but cant find where to claim a ticket or an entry, and i dont see the tourney in the lobby... its called the ironman... i think it is supposed to be next saturday, and im not sure if im going to play it. there is a wpt event at the bellagio, and sat has a $1500 tourney i was thinking about playing, but every night has a $1000 2nd chance tourney.... i bet the $1500 has a better structure and i should play that one.. i believe it starts at noon.... then the following sat i am strongly considering entering the $1000 super sat to the main event.

oh yeah FTP sent me the bonus for the leaderboard today.. it was $1320...

gl every one...

The big Sunday tourneys

I only played the big Sunday tourneys today.. No sngs... I am a little burned out, and my head isn't in the game anymore, so I quit early today. I played wcoop main event, didn't cash.... Made a few mistakes I guess, got ran over a lot later.... Made a few good folds I think. My biggest issue today was... Almost all my continuation bets were getting check raised, or rehearsed.... The c-bet was -ev today. I played the party million, which I cashed for a little over 600, played FTP 250k guaranteed, cashed for 500 something. Played the pokerroom $162 buy in.... Forget whats its called... Didn't cash, but got close. So all in all, today wasn't very good, but better than it could had been. I am disappointed in myself for not doing better in the wcoop.

I have saved a few HHs from today.

more on politics... pacific poker apparently is shutting off all US customers, and party poker is expected to do the same, because it is a public traded company. it may be the end of online poker.... remember to register to vote and make those responsible pay for what they are doing to us.

Frequently asked questions about the Libertarian Party

What is a Libertarian?

Libertarians believe that you have the right to live your life as you wish, without the government interfering -- as long as you don’t violate the rights of others. Politically, this means Libertarians favor rolling back the size and cost of government, and eliminating laws that stifle the economy and control people’s personal choices.

Are Libertarians liberal or conservative?

Libertarians are neither. Unlike liberals or conservatives, Libertarians advocate a high degree of both personal and economic liberty. For example, Libertarians agree with conservatives about freedom in economic matters, so we're in favor of lowering taxes, slashing bureaucratic regulation of business, and charitable -- rather than government -- welfare. But Libertarians also agree with liberals on personal tolerance, so we're in favor of people’s right to choose their own personal habits and lifestyles.

In a sense, Libertarians “borrow” from both sides to come up with a logical and consistent whole -- but without the exceptions and broken promises of Republican and Democratic politicians. That's why we call ourselves the Party of Principle.

How large is the Libertarian Party?

By almost every objective measure, the Libertarian Party is the third-largest political party in America. We’re active in all 50 states and have more than 200,000 registered voters, which is more than all other third parties combined.

What kind of offices do Libertarians hold?

Around the USA there are Libertarian mayors, county executives, county council members and even a Libertarian sheriff! Libertarians also serve on school boards and in hundreds of local offices. In 2004 our candidates for U.S. earned over 1 million votes for the third time in a row, which is a feat no other third party has achieved.

These elected Libertarians are already hard at work saving you money and protecting your civil liberties. In fact, Libertarians saved Americans over $2.2 billion in 2004 alone.

What kind of people join the Libertarian Party?

People like you. People who used to be Republicans, Democrats, and independents – from all walks of life. They joined us because they realize that we’re the only political party working for their personal and economic liberty.

Another question we sometimes hear: Is political extremist Lyndon LaRouche in the Libertarian Party? No. LaRouche has never been associated in any way with us. He runs for office as a Democrat.

How can I join the party?

It is free to join the Libertarian Party. But if you donate $25, you receive a subscription to our monthly newspaper LP News and help finance our work to spread the word about the Libertarian Party. With your help, we can keep the media informed; run Internet, radio, and magazine advertisements; send information to more Americans; support Libertarian candidates in winnable races; promote pro-freedom legislation at the federal and state level; provide resources to our state organizations; and more.

Ask yourself: Is government too big or too small? Are taxes too high or too low? Does the government regulate my business too much or too little? Does the government control my personal life too much or not enough? If you agree, like most Americans, that government is too large, too expensive, and meddles too much, the Libertarian Party is for you!

Now it’s time to take action. Join the Libertarian Party today – and become part of the new choice in American politics!

well.... didnt play much today

i woke up pissed hearing about the online gambling ban was passed attached to the port security bill.... our govt is tyrannizing us with the terrorism card... like i have said before, we are more likely to get hit by lightning... so why all the fuss, and why destroy our rights... the ppl have lost all control of the US govt. i am doing all i can... i vote libertarian (the only political party that cares about our rights), and i try to help out the local party as much as i can. we have a long road ahead of us... but i did make the rally today. i am sure we can find ways to still play, but will the bad players go through the hassle to still play? this greatly effects me and a lot of people. govt does not listen to the people. we need to make them.

i played a few sngs today and ended a negative 235. was having a bad day and getting frusterated and such so i stopped before i lost more.

i also played the 100 seat guarenteed sat for the wcoop main event, which is a $2,600 buy in MTT. i did win my seat, so i will be playing that tomarrow. 1st place is expected to be about a million. gl me.

also work is picking up... so it seems i will be working more.... prob a good thing if online poker is on its last legg....

i didnt count the buy in or the sat win for the $2600 tourney im playing tomarrow,,, i will count that next week so it dont screw up my results.
