$650 MTT hand......

this hand is several weeks old, it was from 1 week before i won my 2nd seat.

btw, i was a coinflip away from winning my 2nd wsop seat in this tourney... lost a flip, then almost got my chips back when KK ran into A9 both real late. if i would had won the coinflip though, i would of had like 55k in chips, practically guarenteeing my seat.... but no big deal i won my 2nd seat the following week.

anyways, i for some reason saved this hand from early in the tourney.

i really hate when guys like this open a flop in a pot i led out on preflop. i like to raise them, but obviously not always. i like to have overcards to the board if i am raising and missed. i also like to make sure the player has been playing solidly and isn't a maniac. i do not like to make the raise real big, rather it look like i want action. because of this, i rather there be no draws, or almost no draws.and probably most importantly i need to have a tight solid image.

btw, just so you guys know, i have not been doing very well in MTTs lately... my game is rusty. i thought this hand was kinda standard but could be interesting to some. i know we had a thread on +1 about these type of situations, so can make for some descent discussions.

hand VS bigjoe2003

anyways a few posts ago, i had mentioned that i had talked to bigjoe on aim. he didn't give me to much direct advice due to concerns of helping his competition, which is understandable. he mentioned i was to tight early and to predictable because i never really limped with anything but pairs, and if i played post flop it usually meant i had a big hand. basically saying i was to predictable early and was probably loosing action i was used to getting, especially when hitting sets.

i would had never ever consider playing a hand like he did here... and i imagine he is losing ev here most times. but he is obviously one of the best sng players in the world... so maybe i should mix it up a little early (adds long term ev?). still not real sure about limping utg with KQ, but maybe a step in that direction cant hurt.

back....

i got back home late last night, i probably wont be back in my normal playing mode for a few days because i have a lot of catching up to do...

i didnt post anything while i was gone, because internet was $.40 a minute, and i was drunk the whole time. bar bill was almost $2k, and i had an awesome bar tender who gave me more free drinks than i can remember.

i will prob post a few pics in the next few days.

i also still have a few blog posts ready to post from before i left.....

hope you all have been doing well...

vacation...

me and my girlfriend will be leaving tomorrow 1st am on a cruise to the western Caribbean. will prob be gone almost 2 weeks.... not sure if i will have wi-fi access or not, but will try to post some pictures. i also have a few blog posts saved up that i will try to get to while i am gone. prob no poker; if so, it will be a very little.

i am definitely very excited....

march results.

i really delayed putting them up, because I'm embarrassed. they are really worse than what they look like because the 1st week of march was good, and the MTT wins counts my wsop seat as cash.

below is my year to date to the end of march, doesn't include anything this month.

and below is my ytd, to today, sng stats. no longer pretty. my cash percentage is horrible.... i really would like to get this back up some.

JJ laydown in WSOP HH-requested by lucko21

Click here to view a larger version.

not sure how many were left until we all got seats when this hand occured, but it was about 2-4ish....

this fold was a close choice, but i decided i rather push on the 2 guys to my left who are likely to fold almost any hand since there were guarenteed a seat, than to push here and be much more likely called.

i also folded JJ like 45min before this to an utg over push which i had barely covered. most people thought it was a bad fold. i didnt want to take a coinflip at that point.

i really just dont get it.... either he was thinking and didnt have the other table open.... being completely unaware that he already had won a seat.... or he had no clue how hand for hand works. either way both those hands show how stupid some of these players are.

still running horrible...

i decided to take a break from sngs, and play MTTs (man, im rusty at these things) for a week or so. and then maybe try cash for a while afterwards before going back to sngs. so far MTTs arent going any better, i ran very very bad on sun, and kinda bad today as well. although i did make money playing 4 sngs today.

but i had a very bad moth last month, kinda embarrassed to post my month stats. prob still will, maybe tomorrow night when i get home.

i am taking tomorrow off, have things to do. and a week from tomorrow i am going on vacation for 2 weeks, so if i play during those 2 weeks it will be very little.

oh yeah, i talked to bigjoe2003 on aim about my bad sng run.... he wouldnt give me any real advice as i play his same stakes. but he did mention players are learning my game, and not giving me action when i hit big hands early. he also mentioned my downswing is normal, he examined my SS graph. so i think i know what i need to do, but need my head to get cleared 1st. also winning some showdowns would be awesome.

i have a few hands saved up that i will try to post before i go on vacation.

sorry for lack of updates... i find it hard to talk poker when im tiliting....
