1st part of last week i made $1823 playing sngs.... then a couple guys from theplusone came to town so i played live a bit with them...had a good time playing with both phil (mackem)and top2pear (donnie).
1st night playing live this week, we played the venetion. played the 8pm tourney, we all lost.... and played cash... players were definitely very bad... games were mostly loose passive, with the occasional guy willing to put $400 in the pot on the flop with just top pair....... won little over $130 that night in cash lost like 180 in the tourney.....
next day we played MGM also 1/2nl, i was a bluff box that day, i could not stop bluffing, but those guys paid me off with my monsters.... i doubled off the table's big stack, with set over set. new guy sat in, and didnt know i was a bluff box, so i bluffed him out of a $240 pot and showed him, since i knew i had to tighten up NOW anyways. he proceded to not fold another hand and blew about $500 in about 30 minutes.
next day at caesars.... i bought in for $500 playing 1/2nl. 2nd hand was a brutal hand, and i think i made a bad fold. utg limps, it was called, mid pos guy raises to $12, 1 caller, i call on button with 78. utg limper calls, flop was 678 with 2 hearts. utg led out for $35 every one folds to me, i made it $135.... UTG insta-pushed all in, and he had me covered. i thought forever and folded thinking he had 66 or an over pair, but more likely 66 i thought. after discussing the hand with kevin and ty, i think i might had made a bad fold. table got short and i moved to another table...
other table had worse players, and mackem was there too.... i built my stack back up to $500 when i lost a big pot... utg who is in a lot of pots and has been raising a descent amount opened for $12.... i was in late-mid pos with QQ i made it $35, button called, who just sat down 15 min ago, utg calls, flop was JTx rainbow... utg led out for $50 ( im not 100% sure on the details of this hand), i made it $150, button pushed for another $100 on top of my $150. utg folded, i felt i had to call knowing i was very likely way behind... i call he showed TT.
then the loose donkey sucked out on me for a few descent sized pots, and i played bad a little and found myself with $67 left, and mackem had just a lil more than a $100... we decided to go all in blind, but rest of table would not lets us... they werent going to fold,,, but then came a hand where utg limped in i raised blind, mackem didnt see utg had cards, and said heres our chance i havent looked either and pushed, before i could remind him "what if utg has a hand".... "oh, shit i didnt see him"...... he folded, i called, i had AT he had Kx, and hit the x... i=busto.
i went and had a few beers, was gonna leave, but i decided i didnt have enough poker so i went back in and bought in for $300 at a new table where mackem was also at... they broke the other table... built it up to $500 quickly then was too drunk.. blew about half flinging chips around, then ran into quads with my full house against a horrible player..... this table had several horrible players that were all friends. i = busto again.....
was about to leave when donkeys (who thought i was bad) begged me to stay... i finally decided ok even though it was very late... prob about 3am.... i work all day that day then got to casino at 4pm..... so i was tired... i stopped drinking and started ordering coffee.and bought in for $200 ,lost about $75, then ran it up to a little over $300... then the group of horrible players left... so we got up to leave.... mackem was asking me to stay i was going home it was like 4 am... but somehow he talked me into to playing a little more.
so we found our new table.. i built my stack up to almost $700 getting some dude to chase a draw and getting him to bluff when it missed on river, when a crazy hand came up, that everyone assured me i misplayed... i had every one covered except mackem, the players on each side of me had chips, and the rest were short. it was straddled, 1st guy to act calls, i call T9 diamonds, next person made it $20 it was called in several spots pricing me in. flop was 5h 6d 8d, 1st limper opened for $90... i made it $300, pre flop raiser took forever to fold what she later told me was JJ. super loose donkey instantly called, 2 other shoties called and flop opener took forever and folded 2 of my outs face up 77. i really thought people were going to fold, table has not been crazy. and only one guy was out of his mind retarded. the 1st caller (retarded guy) showed K3 diamonds, there goes the rest on my outs... not sure what other 2 guys had... turn was a 9 river was a 7d... BINGO.... thats my card... to bad everyone in the pot was short. but i added $400 to my stack, and what was going to be a horrible day turned out positive. i also got a $267 bonus for a high hand.
few hands later i had AK utg, i made it $11, mackem (who had $900+) made it $35, everone else folded, i then made it $140 and after a long time he folded QQ face up. i figured since we were both very deep, i had to RR here to find out very quick where i am at.... he doesnt want to risk his stack without a very strong hand.
grabbed a quick bite to eat and got home by 10:30 am....
so for the week

not much to talk about i have been busy
i havent played last few days.. 3 days to be exact, been catching up on shit around the house. recently the govt really pushed forward strong in the attack on our rights and freedoms, and may be successful in destroying online gaming , or at least choking it good, drying up the games... not sure what is going to happen, but they are fucking us. i dont believe it will be illegal forever, but for how long?
i have a hand i want to talk about, but im gonna save for a few days...
last week, i made $92 in live cash, $1808 in online sngs, and got my ftp rakeback payment of $362.10.... so i had another good week....
EDIT: i forgot to mention that i made $111 in MTTs last week... small enough to easily forget.
i am not confident about future weeks as i expect the bad players to have no easy ways to re-deposit.
i have been thinking about going on vacation to aruba, and if i like it, maybe buying a rental or something there... maybe i can use the foreign address and utility bills to play on party and use neteller... might have to get some kind of proxy, but im not sure if i can proxy an aruba IP address. one of my long term goals has always been to move to someplace like aruba, so if i do this, i may end up living out there within a few years. just something i have been thinking about.... as lazy as i am, i wont do shit though.

for the most part a good week...
i didnt save many hands to talk about this week... i did, like a dumbass, blow a lot of money in cash games...
my rake back provider told me i can play at interpoker in the US as long as i have a foriegn address on account, which was true (i felt misled into entering a fake address), but when i went to withdraw, they stole all my money... which sucks, because cash games were easy there, and sngs were super soft... never anywhere else did i feel like the best guy at the table in a cash game.... i mean it was as bad as live cash games. i have been emailing them, and i gave them copies of the email i got from my rakeback guy, and i hope to get this straightened out. i only deposited $150 there so not the end of the world, but i ran it up to $900. it just doesnt seem fair that im allowed to play and deposit just fine, and i bet if i went bust and went to make another deposit, they wouldnt care, but as soon as i withdraw, now they enforce the rules..... seems fucked up to me. especially since they just take my money. oh well fuck it, i knew i was risking that by opening the account.
i went bust on doyles room.... $500 didnt last long. the players seem bad, but i was getting a lot of bad beats. like one hand i flopped a FH with JJ on a J66 board, got it all in, dude had KK... turn was a 6, river was a 6. lol... anyways, i am confident i can make money there, but the regular sngs are a little slow for me, and i start getting bored. and the speeds are to quick. the speeds are very fast.... but i have been doing better in those. think i will play 15 more of each before i decide though. i have a $550 deposit bonus to clear there too.... and i get rakeback as well.... the software blows badly and the tables fill very slowly... not sure if i will still play there after my bonus is cleared..... i will decide on that later...

this guy was raising alot and we were letting him get away with it, he had no clue how i was about to play, because i just got my chips. he just doubled me up like a hand or 2 before. he wont call unless he has a very good hand.
here is the hand plugged into sng wizard and you can see the ranges i gave the players.... which i believe should be close to accurate.

here is a chart of my sngs so far this year... and realize this is not like sharkscope where it calculates average roi, this is actual roi.

an interesting hand...
well.. today i lost money.. but not much, just a few hundered... i did shitty in the million, and FTP 400k... in sngs i cashed about 30% but was up a little due to more than the normal amount of 1st places.
a friend from +1 told me about a program called sng wizard, and it is awesome.. i was reviewing my last sng just now and found a hand i swore was a bubble push and i guess it isnt.... i think i will very likely get stuck pushing with 3 BBs if i dont push here... is it ever worth taking a negative edge? if you are very likely gonna play in a worse spot? or will the worse spot usually not be so bad since you wont be so far bahind hands that call you?
thoughts on this hand? i believe the ranges i plugged in were accurate for the players involved and the bubble.... but the BB, if i lower his calling range from 25% to 20% it makes this a push.... but i think 25% is a good range for him here...
20% = 33+,A4o+,A2s+,KQo+,KTs+
25% = 22+,A2+,KTo+,K9s+,QTs+
i gave ymk106 a 2.8% range because he wants me to bust which is : QQ+,AK+
i gave the BB a range of 5.7% if ymk106 pushed which is : 99+,AQo+,AJs+
these hand ranges are a little different than sngpts, which is random rank... here is what chipp from +1 says about that :
"My main prob w/ it [sng wizard] is it uses a fixed hand ranking (KS), and you can't exclude top hands. "
anyways here is the hand and what sng wizards says...

just so we see the differences in these 2 programs i use... i really thought this was a call too, but i can see folding this one... btw he pushed 92

that made me think... here is the 1st hand i posted entered into sngPTs... wonder why the difference? one must be right and one must be wrong... right? i enter exact same hand range... hmmmm... i better ask chipp....

totals since the 1st, and a few hands...
i played live no-limit 1/2 cash games and 1 $120 sng the past few nights at caesars and made $558... here are a few hands that i had thought about for a while... the 1st one is when i just sat down at the table 2nd or 3rd hand. there were a few limpers in the pot, so i limped in the cutoff with KJo the BB was an older lady with about $230 total. she made it $20, the others had folded, and i made a very loose call. flop came Kxx she led out for $40 and i called, turn was a blank. she had a real dissapointed look on her face and acted confused took a while and bet $40 again. i thought she was weak and maybe had QQ so i raised it $100 more.... she thought a while and pushed, i had to call something like $27 more..... she had AK... i felt very stupid losing so much with such a shitty hand. i now know a lot about her to make playing against her a lot easier.... i should not had made that raise without being at the table longer... so i made the play not really knowing anything about her.. uuuuuuugh. anyways i didnt get in any good pots with her the rest of the night and i prob wont see her ever again, but if i do, i know weak means strong, and a huge bet from the blinds is an AK type hand, which i should had thought to begin with anyways.... i made a bad read and went with it..... i guess i deserved to lose that money. i did leave the table up.. just barely. im retarded though...
the next hand i wanted to mention was a hand that happened the next day. i was in the BB with $1140 there were 2 other players at the table over $500 and the rest were short. it was limped in several spots i had QT and optioned to check. flop came AQT rainbow. i led out for $10, a calling station who has been drinking all day and likes to make funny minraises a lot just called, he was one the guys with over $500. turn was a 5, i led out for $25 and he made it $90. this was weird because he hasnt made a raise like this all night. i thought for a long time and was thinking about pushing, he has shown down a lot of very bad hands and was almost out of chips 15 min before and was on a hot little run. i asked him how much he had behind, because he had bills. he says what? you wanna play for all of this... lets go im ready... i again asked how much he had,and he said almost $400.... thought for a while, and he was begging me to play.... i finally folded figuring he could easily have AT, KJ or 55. after i folded he said i made a good lay down and proudly showed his Q5.
i dont really have any good sng hands, because today was a bad day and i quit early, but i did upgrade my sngPTs and checked on one hand that i was forced to do something i hated... i think.... lets see...
i hate this because i really dont want to call but i felt i had too, so i did.
here is what sngPTs said with a range of: 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs
so according to that, it is still a +$ev call, but close enough where calling and folding are both reasonable. dont pay attention to compute all in the above pic it was wrong and done with different values, it should say- Call hands: 33+,A8o+,A7s+,KQs (13.3%), if i changed the settings to chip EV, which i might supposed to be doing so far away from the money, i am not sure, but i need to look into that, but compute all then says- Call hands: 22+,A3o+,A2s+,KTo+,K6s+,QTo+,Q8s+,J9o+,J7s+,T9o,T7s+,96s+,86s+,76s,65s (34.2%)
now if we really think about it, dont we think his range is normally as lot higher than what i entered? i mean if i was him, i am pushing any 2 cards there, and he prob is as well... so lets see what sngPTs says about that.....
in this one compute all is correct.... but if i change it to chip ev it changes to -Call hands: 22+,A2+,K2+,Q2+,J2+,T2+,92+,83o+,82s+,74o+,72s+,64o+,62s+,54o,52s+,43s (90.3%)
chip ev might be for mtts, im gonna asked someone so i know next time....
so after all that fun... (which i do have a lot of fun with sngPTs especially with the new upgrade where i can paste HHs instead of manually entering all the settings) i determined that in fact it was a call that i had to make even though i hated it.

back to the bread and butter...... SNGs
after christmas i started playing sngs again, and im making money most days.. i am playing mostly 100's. it feels good to win money most days instead of lose money most days.... i may play 1 MTT a day or none, i will prob still play some majors on sunday. ever since i quit sngs i have not done anything in the majors... weird, because i used to cash them regularly. i did make a lot of final tables in $100+ MTTs while i was playing them, enough that i shouldnt give up on them for good, but for a while at least. or maybe playing them fulltime was my problem.
i am gonna try to post my progress on here, weekly and monthly....
